Poster Presentation Guidelines

Posters are available onsite for all attendees to view and learn from. Your poster will be displayed by the topic or theme you select during the abstract submission process.

  • If you are presenting your work via a poster, it is your responsibility to produce the poster and bring it with you to the conference.
  • Start conversations and collaborations with teams worldwide
  • A poster should be self‐contained and self‐explanatory.
  • We allow for posters up to A1 in size – we would strongly encourage you not to go for less than A1.
  • Each Poster Presenter will be provided with the fixed 1-meter x 1-meter whiteboard.
  • Use matt finish rather than glossy paper as varying lighting in the venue can cause reflection on glossy paper.
  • Use large lettering as this means a number of people can read the poster from a distance without overcrowding.
  • Arrange the work in columns rather than rows as this is easier for the viewer to follow.
  • Use fonts such as Arial/Times New Roman in a reasonable font size that should be easy to read.
  • The spacing between the lines should also be taken into consideration.
  • Titles and captions should be short and easy to read, in a sans serif font for preference (e.g. Ariel).
  • Heading should be a minimum of 50 point size.
  • Text needs to be 25 point size.
  • The title, contents and the author’s information should be clearly visible from a distance of 1-2 feet.
  • An introduction should be placed at the upper left and a conclusion at the lower right.
  • An abstract does not need to be presented.
  • Texts should be Minimized and narrative.
  • A summary of the purpose, methods, and results should be mentioned on either of the upper sections of the board.
  • The positive and negative aspects of the work carried out are to be displayed along with the obtained results.
  • Figures should be designed to be viewed from a distance and should use clear, visible graphics and large type.
  • Each figure or table should have Captions of one or two lines.
  • Additional essential information should be provided below in a legend.
  • Photographs should have good contrast, sharp focus and, if necessary, an indication of scale.
  • Use large type in short, separated paragraphs.
  • Numbered or bulleted lists are effective ways to convey a series of points.
  • Do not set entire paragraphs in uppercase or boldface type.
  • Do not attempt to put the full paper on the poster – no one will stay long enough to read it!
  • Remember to caption your poster with the abstract title, author’s names and affiliations.
  • The time details will be mentioned clearly in the final program.
  • There is a prize for the best poster so it is worth taking time to make yours stand out.
  • Best poster award will be announced on the last day of the conference and will be felicitated by the chief guest of the conference.

Please ensure that you bring a sufficient amount of fixing materials with you. The Conference Secretariat will have a small supply available if required.

  • Updates may be shared during the presentation but no modifications can be made to the submitted abstract.
  • The poster should be self explanatory. Text should be brief and well organized.
  • E-posters should be clear, well-organised, informative and concise and should include all necessary information (title, methods, research, literature, etc.)
  • Avoid using red or green in any fonts or backgrounds as they are colors that are difficult to read.
  • Dark backgrounds while using light fonts and vice versa.
